Hi, this is day 2 of my #ChristmasChallenge. Today we prepared another gift for LilBerry, it’s a red and green Xmas Sensory Bin. Basically, I do treasure hunting around the house for red and green items and dump them in the bin. Don’t forget to add something white and fluffy for the ‘snow’, mine was Berry’s MotherCare fluffy white baby blanket (too small for her now). You can use anything with a nice texture, such as cotton balls too.
Sight, Touch. It’s about learning colors and textures. We learn to identify colors and name of the items. “Berry, this is a red bunny. This is a green ball.
For older babies and tots, you can teach them to match similar colors or textures. Berry is learning to identify colors, she would point her finger to a red bunny and point to other red items.
How to make it?
1. Select your X’mas color theme. There are no limits, it’s up to your imagination.
2.Go treasure hunting around the house.
3. Combine in a box, basket or bin. Mine is a huge Lock&Lock container, which I mainly use for Berry’s play.
1. Fluffy white blanket
2. Xmas ornament train
3. Santa plushy doll
4. Red bunny plushy doll
5. Colorful geometry wooden toy
6. Red and green pompoms
7. Berry’s red and green kitchen toys
Be careful with smaller objects, which might cause chocking hazard, especially smaller babies. Always supervise your babies!
